Drama Course

BCL's drama course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to engage actively in theatre-making as performers, playwrights, designers, and directors.  Students discover and engage with a wide variety of performance styles, theatre traditions, and theatre theorists.  In so doing, they develop vital 21st century skills such as collaboration, creativity, leadership, and critical thinking.

The course aims to enable students to:

1. Become informed, reflective, and critical practitioners of theatre

2. Understand and value the diversity of theatre arts across time, place, and culture

3. Express themselves with confidence and competence, both independently and collaboratively

4. Enjoy lifelong interest in and engagement with the arts

Through devising, presenting, and critically reflecting on theatre, students gain a richer understanding of themselves, their community, and the world.
