Dual Enrollment

Bishop Conaty-Our Lady of Loretto High School partners with the Los Angeles City College (LACC) to provide students with a dual/concurrent enrollment program. During the fall, spring, winter, and summer semesters, LACC offers college classes on the BCL campus at no cost. These classes allow students the opportunity to earn college credit while still attending high school.
In addition, students may graduate from Bishop Conaty-Our Lady of Loretto High School with a high school diploma and an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree. Additionally, these classes allow students to begin accumulating college credits, which may help them graduate from college earlier. Dual Enrollment

Student Testimony

"What appealed to me at Bishop Conaty- Our Lady of Loretto, was being presented with the amazing Dual Enrollment program. With the Dual Enrollment program I’m close to receiving my Associates Degree as a senior in High School. With this amazing opportunity I’m almost done with my General Education courses, which are required at a University. At this rate I can graduate high school with an Associates Degree and transfer to a four-year University. I’ve met some amazing professors and had an amazing experience taking college courses."

Student Testimony

"Being a part of the Dual-Enrollment program has changed the way that I navigate through highschool. The credits that I have earned with the college courses provided have counted towards my A through G requirements needed to receive my highschool diploma. Doing so has also assisted me in my goal of receiving an associate’s degree. If there was one thing about the school that has prepared me the most for college it would be this program. You are able to experience the teaching style of different professors and get insight on what sparks your interest."Ruby
