Your Path to Bishop Conaty Our Lady of Loretto Starts Here

We’re so excited that you’re considering Bishop Conaty Our Lady of Loretto High School! Our admissions process is designed to be clear, supportive, and personal because we know that choosing the right school is a big decision, and we’re here to walk with you every step of the way.

2. Visit Our Campus

Experience what it’s like to be a Wildcat! Join us for an Open House, schedule a personal tour, or participate in a Day of a Wildcat student shadow day.
Contact us to arrange your visit.

3. Complete the Online Application

Visit our Application page to begin your application.
You’ll be asked to submit:

        • A completed application form

        • A copy of recent report cards

        • Standardized test scores (if available)

        • A teacher recommendation (optional but encouraged)

4. Take the High School Placement Test (HSPT)
All applicants are required to take the HSPT. Information on upcoming test dates and registration will be provided by the Admissions Office.
5. Interview with Our Admissions Team
Once your application is received, we’ll reach out to schedule a short, friendly interview to get to know you and your goals.
6. Receive Your Admissions Decision
Admissions decisions are sent out following the review process. If accepted, you’ll receive the next steps for enrollment and orientation.
INCOMING FRESHMEN
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Complete application with parent/guardian signature
Once you apply, you will have access to your PORTAL.
Request or upload your required documents via your PORTAL
⦁ Birth Certificate
⦁ Immunization Records
⦁ Transcripts
⦁ Application fee is $100 
 
STUDENT RECORDS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
⦁ Request or upload and submit the forms 'Request for Records and Recommendations' to the Principal, English or Math Teacher at your current school through our SchoolAdmin site no later than January 31, 2025. Late applicants will be placed on a waiting list.
 
ADMISSION
Acceptance for freshmen is based on the student’s:
⦁ Academic record
⦁ HSPT scores
⦁ School recommendations
⦁ Student interview
⦁ Successful completion of eighth grade with acceptable grades and conduct
⦁ Fulfillment of state health/immunization requirements
⦁ Parent/Guardian attendance at Registration/Orientation Day
 
ENTRANCE EXAM
⦁ The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is required of all 9th-grade applicants.
 
INTERVIEW
⦁ Personal interview of the student scheduled by appointment
 
MANDATORY SUMMER SCHOOL
  • All Freshmen must attend summer school.
 
TRANSFER STUDENT APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Completed application with parent/guardian signature
⦁ Birth certificate
⦁ Immunization record
⦁ Official transcripts
⦁ Copy of "Intent to Withdraw" from current school
⦁ Interview with the Principal
⦁ $100 non-refundable application fee
 
TRANSFER STUDENT ADMISSION
Acceptance of students transferring to BCL is based on the following:
⦁ Clear to withdraw documentation
⦁ Transcript of grades for each semester of high school
⦁ Recommendation from the current high school
⦁ Interview with student and parents/guardians
⦁ Available space in the appropriate academic program
⦁ Fulfillment of state health/immunization requirements
